Shanaya Kapoor, daughter of Sanjay and Maheep Kapoor, who attended Ecole Mondiale World School and honed her skills in dance and acting, is set to make her mark in the film industry. Before her acting debut, she served as an Assistant Director on Janhvi Kapoor’s film 'Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl'. In a recent interview, Shanaya opened up about her romantic values, revealing a surprising contrast to the fast-paced dating culture of Gen-Z.
When asked if she identifies as an old-school romantic, Shanaya confessed that she had just been contemplating the same idea. While acknowledging that her generation can be detached and quick to move on, she admitted to feeling differently when it comes to love.
"I look for a long-term relationship," Shanaya explained, emphasizing that she isn't one to move on quickly. "When she finds that special person, they become like home to her. She wants to find that feeling of home and that sense of comfort."
Shanaya also discussed the unique challenges faced by artists in maintaining a balanced personal life. She noted that their work is not a typical nine-to-five job but rather a passionate way of life.
Because actors are constantly immersed in different characters, they often bring their work home with them. Therefore, Shanaya believes it's important to find someone who can bring balance to her life, solidifying her preference for an old-school approach to relationships.
On the professional front, Shanaya Kapoor is preparing for her Bollywood debut alongside Vikrant Massey in the romantic drama 'Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan'. Directed by Santosh Singh, the film is scheduled for release on July 11. Additionally, she will star in 'Tu Yaa Main', a survival thriller directed by Bejoy Nambiar, opposite Adarsh Gourav, and produced by Aanand L Rai, slated for Valentine’s Day 2026.
