The sudden passing of Sunjay Kapur, businessman and former husband of actress Karisma Kapoor, has deeply affected his family. His sister, Mandhira Kapur, has expressed her sorrow and love through emotional posts on Instagram, honoring her late brother and father.
Two days ago, Mandhira commemorated the tenth anniversary of her father's passing. In her Instagram post, she wrote, "Missing dad today. Can't believe it's been 10 years 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻. Bhaiya and him are together looking down on us 🙏🏻. Miss them, our world will never be the same." The post drew supportive messages from Bollywood figures such as Mozes Singh and Bhavana Panday.
A week after Sunjay's death, Mandhira shared a poignant message about their relationship. She revealed that a family disagreement had led to a four-year estrangement. "My brother and I may not have spoken for the last 4 years, a silly sibling squabble escalated to crazy levels due to egos and natural bullishness; however, that will never take back what we were and what we had."
Mandhira also reflected on the fragility of life: "Life is fragile and delicate, each day is a gift, do not miss a day even an hour in some fickleness, you can never be assured that you will have the opportunity to repair the void and if you don’t, then that’s pretty much all that is left, coupled with regret." She concluded with a heartfelt wish: "I would give anything to just see my bhaiya one last time and tell him how much I love him."
Mandhira Kapur is the daughter of the late industrialist Dr. Surinder Kapur and Rani Surinder Kapur. She is one of Sunjay Kapur's two sisters, the other being Superna Motwane. According to News18, Mandhira is a second-generation, award-winning entrepreneur and the Managing Director of SMIC Autoparts Pvt. Ltd., a company she founded in 2012. The company's global headquarters are located in London. She married Luke Smith on June 11, 2023, and is the mother of two children, Nyna and Jai.
