Anushka admitted lip job in later interview
Two years later, in a 2016 interview with Vogue, Anushka decided to address the matter head-on. She openly admitted that she had opted for a ‘lip job’ for her role in ‘Bombay Velvet’.
She said, “I have nothing to hide. So when I spoke about my lip job, a lot of people called me brave for coming out. But I did what I had to for my role in Bombay Velvet. I’m not going to lie and say I didn’t; I had to take ownership. I wanted fans to know that I’m human and not perfect.”

In December 2017, Anushka married cricketer Virat Kohli in a much-talked-about wedding. The couple soon began a new chapter of their lives together. They were blessed with their daughter, Vamika, in January 2021 and later welcomed their son, Akaay, in February 2024.
