Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, the surgeon who played a crucial role in Pant's recovery after his near-fatal car accident in December 2022, shared his thoughts on the celebration. In an interview with The Telegraph, Dr. Pardiwala noted, "Rishabh trained as a gymnast. Although he looks large, he is quite agile, and he does have a lot of flexibility. And, that’s why he’s been doing those somersaults of late. It’s a well-practised and perfected move — unnecessary though!"

Pant's return to the cricket field is a testament to his resilience and determination. The accident on December 30, 2022, occurred while he was driving from Delhi to his hometown of Roorkee. He lost control of his car, resulting in a collision that caused multiple injuries and sidelined him for several months.
