Before the movie was released in theaters, reports suggested that Varun Dhawan would be making a special appearance in the film. Ravi Chhabriya shares what the deleted scene from 'Bharat' featuring Varun Dhawan was about

In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, Ravi Chhabriya was asked if the scene will be out on a public platform like YouTube. To which the filmmaker shared that it's up to producer Atul Agnihotri, and he has no idea if it will be out or not. He revealed that they shot a scene with Varun; however, during the final edit, they decided to chop it off.Ravi Chhabriya then revealed what the scene was. He told the publication that the scene was incorporated in the movie when Bharat (Salman) is working in the oil field in the Middle East. He shared, "There was a scene where Salman Sir's character and Varun's character came together. It was a fun scene. Dono panja ladate hai."

The film was directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and also starred Katrina Kaif, Sunil Grover, Disha Patani, and Jackie Shroff. The film was an adaptation of the South Korean movie, 'An Ode To My Father'.
Released in June 2019, the film went on to earn over Rs 300 crore at the box office.
