Actor Prakash Belawadi, known for his roles in ‘Pathaan’, 'Baby John' and 'Fateh', hails from a family of theatre artists in Bengaluru and has built a diverse career as an actor, theatre artist, journalist, and activist. He began acting as a child in the 1970s and later expanded into directing. He made his directorial debut with the English film 'Stumble' in 2003, which won the National Award for Best Film in the English language. Prakash Belawadi highlights PM Modi’s political journey

Talking about his book 'The Modi Effect - Reinventing Bharat', Belawadi told ANI that it adds to the collection of works on Narendra Modi. He explained that after ten years in office and being uniquely elected for a third term, Modi is under even greater scrutiny than during his initial tenure, highlighting the sustained public and political interest in his leadership and policies over the past decade.He added, “He came into reckoning to become the prime minister of the country or the candidate for prime ministership with some tension and opposition within his own party."

Belawadi says PM Modi has no ego

Belawadi reflected on PM Modi’s decade-long leadership and the impact of his work across the country. He explained, “And 10 years from now, we should be able to look back and see what he has done. And the statistics are there. It's for you to accept it or not...And what is important in this is that he has the confidence of so many sections of the people...he has no ego about reaching out to people or in centres where there is very strong opposition to him..What signifies is that when it comes to the question of country, I don't see he has any ego that comes in the way."

Prakash Belawadi on the work front

Prakash was seen in Naga Chaitanya's 'Thandel', which also had Sai Pallavi in the lead. Apart from Kannada and Hindi, he has acted in several other languages, showcasing his versatility and commitment to Indian cinema across different platforms.
