V of K-pop supergroup BTS threw the ceremonial first pitch at a Los Angeles Dodgers game on Monday night and ARMY couldn't be any more proud.
The singer, who is also known as Kim Taehyung, drew in crowds to the stadium as he got ready to step on the mound. Videos shared online show the star practising his pitch on the field, before the big game. According to reports, a few lucky young fans were even allowed to greet him and the players to get autographs before the game.
For the big match, the singer wore a Dodgers team No: 7 jersey, and paired it with faded jeans and statement shoes. He bowed straight at Dodgers pitcher Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who then caught a strike.
"V from BTS throws a STRIKE for his Dodgers first pitch," read the caption of the video posted on the Major League Baseball handle.
The clip sees V then walking over to Yamamoto, who gave him the ball and hugged him as fans cheered from the stands.
V also gave the traditional call of "It's time for Dodgers baseball!" in English, sending fans at the stadium into a tizzy as he flashed the peace sign and took a bow.
The singer was also seen meeting superstar Shohei Ohtani and pitcher Tyler Glasnow while posing for pictures in front of photographers.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines, V was seen posing for a photoshoot at the game.
He even held up the ball while posing in front of a board that read, "Dodgers Stadium".
BTS fellow band members RM, Jungkook, Suga, Jin, Jimin and JHope are currently in the US working on new music for their next album. The band is gearing up to release a new album next spring, following the band members' break to fulfil their mandatory military service in South Korea
